Lakeview Lounge

Glacier Saloon

A great place to relax, the Chateau's Glacier Saloon offers local and international brew, pool, easygoing pub meals, light snacks and nightcaps. Open daily.

Chateau Deli

Open 24 hours for your convenience, the Chateau Deli offers a selection of gourmet foods to eat in or for on the go: breakfasts, sandwiches, lasagna and luscious desserts. Call ahead and a backpacker lunch will be packed for you. The perfect way to stock up for whatever your day has in store! Open daily.

Victoria Room

Built in 1913, the Victoria Room reflects the Chateau's commitment to preserving its grand and luxurious heritage. The dinner menu is classic European cuisine. Hours of operation vary throughout the year; reservations are recommended.

Afternoon Tea

Indulge in a classic English-style Afternoon Tea in the Lakeview Lounge, featuring sparkling wine, fresh fruit cocktail, fingers foods and a specially commissioned tea blend exclusive to the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louse. The Lakeview Lounge overlooks the pristine waters of Lake Louise and the awe-inspiring Rocky Mountains - you've never enjoy Tea like this before! Reservations are recommended.

Health Club

For all Fairmont Hotel guests, The Fairmont Health Club offers a heated indoor pool and whirlpool, steam room, fitness centre with cardio equipment and Keiser air pressure weight machines and men's and women's change rooms and showers. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Open daily from 6:30am to 11:00pm.

At the Escape Spa & Salon, enjoy a sensory experience that will relax, restore and renew your body, mind and spirit. All visits start with a personal consultation to help you choose the products, aromas and treatment that will be best suited to your needs. Mountain Heritage Program - Summer Adventures

A time-honoured guiding tradition, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise offers guided adventures for all skill levels. Award winning naturalists lead shorts walks, half-day hikes or more challenging full-day hikes, with a focus on the journey as much as the destination. You'll treasure the memory and gain a deeper appreciation of the beauty and history of Banff National Park. Advance booking is required. Programs may vary due to weather, trail or wildlife conditions. Advance booking required.

The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course (45 minutes drive time from Chateau Lake Louise)

The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course offers 27 holes of championship golf winding along the Bow River and surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks. Designed originally by Stanley Thompson, Canada's master golf course architect, with an additional 9 holes later added by Cornish and Robinson. The course is renowned for its spectacular beauty as well as the challenge each hole offers to amateur and advanced golfers alike. Open May - October. Holes available may vary by date.

Canoeing on Lake Louise

Immerse yourself in nature as you paddle across the world-famous Lake Louise and enjoy this glittering jewel of the Canadian Rockies close-up. The perfect adventure for families, beginners or experienced paddlers alike. Advance booking required.

Horseback Riding

Fabulous vacation fun awaits you on the back of a horse as you peruse the Rocky Mountain trails high above the shores of Lake Louise. Reservations are recommended. Available daily during summer, weather permitting.

Guided Fishing

Cash and relax as you fish for Trout at Lake Minnewanka, only 45 minutes east of Lake Louise on a 3-hour guided fishing charter. Boats are 22 foot cabin cruisers and depart three times daily. Advance booking is required.

Lake Minnewanka Boat Tours

Treat yourself to a scenic tour of Lake Minnewanka. You'll glide beneath Mt. Aylmer and Mt. Inglismaldie to Devil's Gap in a glass-enclosed heated boat. Tours include a scenic 55-minute drive from The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Advance booking is required.

Columbia Icefield & Brewster Ice Explorer

Located 103 km (64 miles) North of Lake Louise, the Columbia Icefield is the largest Icefield in the Rockies. Explore it in a Brewster Ice Explorer in a 1.5 hour tour. Tours depart daily from the Chateau and include transportation to and from the tour start point. Advance booking is required.

ATV Tours (Available outside the National Parks)

Cruise through the majestic Canadian Rockies on an all-terrain vehicle for a close up experience of nature at its finest. Transportation from the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is provided. Advance booking is required.

Snowshoeing Along the Great Divide

A snowshoeing adventure includes a brief lesson on the basics of snowshoeing as well as an explanation of local wildlife, their winter survival skills, and how to recognize and track them. Snowshoeing tours are approximately 3 hours in duration. Advance booking is required

Johnston Canyon Ice Falls

Experience first-hand the mystery and beauty of a frozen world as you trek across numerous suspended catwalks to explore frozen waterfalls and grottos. Transportation and ice cleats included. Tours are approximately 4 hours in duration. Advance booking is required.

Lake Louise by Moonlight

Spectacular by day, spectacular by night! Lake Louise by winter moonlight is a must-see for any nature enthusiast. Journey on snowshoes through the silent forest to witness the beauty of the night sky, locate the constellations above, and maybe even see the spectacular northern lights. Tours are 2 hours in duration and run on select nights only.

Cross Country Ski Lessons & Tours


Lessons

Cross country skiing instruction is available to skiers of all ages and levels wanting to improve their abilities on cross country skis. Instructors are certified through the Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors. Lessons are available daily and are 1.5 hours in duration.

Tours

Glide with a guide! A 3-hour tour with spectacular scenery and guided instruction as you go

Horse-Drawn Sleigh Rides Snuggle up under a warm, soft blanket for a magical sleigh in an authentic old-fashioned Belgian sleigh. The winter shores of Lake Louise look especially good from this vantage point! Advance booking required.

Ice-Skating

Lake Louise, when frozen becomes one of the highest skating rinks in Canada. Its certainly one of the most beautiful with the surrounding Rocky Mountains providing a spectacular backdrop for skaters. Skate rentals are available at Monad's Sports in The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Dog Sledding

Learn the art of mushing! Tucked under a warm blanket, you'll enjoy the experience of racing over the snow in an authentic Inuit sled pulled by an eager team of Alaskan Huskies. A great way to explore and travel in the winter. Advance booking is required.

Snowmobile Adventures (Available outside the National Parks)

Enjoy an exciting guided snowmobile tour through the snowy mountain trails. A truly thrilling way to explore the surrounding winter wonderland. Guides, suites, boots, helmets and hotel pick up are all included in the tour price. Tours are approximately 6 hours in duration.

Babysitting

Qualified and reliable babysitters are available for a fee. Sitters have been carefully screened and undergone a Royal Canadian Mounted Police security check. Sitters must be booked in advance and a cancellation policy is in effect.

Children's Playroom

For children three and older the children's playroom offers staff supervised crafts, games, movies and a climbing wall for your young ones. A vacation while on vacation! Open during ski season only; a nominal fee applies.
